TRANSIT VISA

A Transit Visa can be obtained from the Indonesian Representatives (Embassy, Consulate General, Consulate) or at an Immigration Check Point at designated Entry points at the Airports/Sea ports and Land Border (Transit Visa on Arrival) by paying all dues according to the regulations. This visa is given to persons of foreign origin who wish to make a short stop over in Indonesian territory and are on an onward journey to neighboring country (Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea , to their country of origin, to join or work on a transport vehicle that will continue its journey outside Indonesian territory. Passenger could obtain Transit Visa On Arrival, which is valid for stopovers within Indonesian territory due to emergencies affecting transport vehicles and other legitimate causes, resulting in a delay in that journey and verified by the proper authorities. 


REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN VISA FROM THE EMBASSY:

  1. Application form must be completed with a passport size photograph.

  2. Passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months after the date of entry.

  3. A photocopy of the travel document (passport).

  4. Persons stopping over in Indonesia to continue their journey to another country or their country of origin, must be able to produce proof of a ticket to that country. Persons stopping over in Indonesia to join or work on a transport vehicle that will continue its journey outside Indonesian territory, must have proof of a work contract pertaining to that fact.

  6. A transit visa will be valid for up to 14 (fourteen) days from the day of arrival in Indonesia.
