The Signing of Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic of Slovak, May 2nd 2006

 

 

The Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic of Slovak was signed on May 2nd, 2006 at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta.
The Agreement was signed by the Director-General for American and European Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs Mr. Eddi Hariyadhi and State Secretary/Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Slovak Mr. Laszlo Pomothy respectively. The ceremony was attended by the officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovak H.E. Mr. Peter Holasek and member of delegates from both countries.
 
The said Agreement is intended to replace the function of the Indonesian-Slovak Trade Agreement since Slovak was admitted to become member of the European Union in 2004, and to serve as a basis for inter-government economic cooperation in joint commission sessions. In that Agreement, both countries have committed to implement economic principles of free market and to enhance and facilitating greater economic cooperation either for individuals or law firms, including business associations, according to the laws and regulations in both countries.
